Maarja Nuut & Ruum’s new album “World Inverted” (LP) was released under Õunaviks on the September 11th 2020.

Maarja Nuut & Ruum (AKA Hendrik Kaljujärv) have always defied convention and categorization. Born out of a series of phone conversations in 2016, their musical collaboration has floated between genres and styles like an ever-shifting shadow. Their first full-length debut, “Muunduja” (2018, UK label 130701) – or ‘Shifter’, in Estonian – encapsulated this evasiveness perfectly. “World Inverted” takes this idea even further; it makes a virtue of their music’s contradictory nature.
